Letters? Uso pa ba?

These days, I’m sure that Technologies is quite spread out not only in our country but also in different nations as well. Many gadgets now a days invented to help us and to acquire easiest way to communicate on our love ones. All of us are probably own an account in friendster, myspace, yahoo messenger, etc. One of the major gadgets we are using right now is cell phones. But as I can remember, snail mail is the most active to use before, just to communicate. It has classifications, for instances are friendship letter, family letter, love letter, etc. But if you will ask me for what I prefer, I would rather choose mail. Don’t get me wrong for that. My main reason is… I can keep it as a remembrance and as you can see it is also my collections. I particularly put it in my crucial box and read it all the time. For me it is more appreciated than via electronic devices like cell phones because you can erase your text messages and if you have already not enough memory or if your cell phone got a virus, you have no choice but to eradicate the message you’ve receive. But of course, the disadvantage of a mail is... You cannot receive/ get your messages at the same time and you have to wait for a couple of weeks. But despite of this, marami paring na in-love sa mga katagang “Mahal kong Iniirog”, “Minamahal Ko”, “Dear Love”, “Dear Sweetheart”, “Dear Baby”..blah blah blah. Isa sa mga ‘to ang ancle at antie ko, they are pen pals and became lovers. Although they had long distance relationship, hindi yon naging hindrance sa relationship nila. Kahit na malayo sa isa’t isa ay lagi parin silang nagiging masaya pagdating ng sulat galing sa pinakamamahal nila. I also remember my friend in high school, someone gave her a letter and it’s indicating there “From Your Secret Admirer”. My friend didn’t expect that the person who gave that letter is her ultimate crush in the campus. She was so happy then. There are some people who cannot express themselves through oral or actions so they exclaim their true feelings through handwriting, dinadaanan nalang sa kapirasong papel. But Letters is not any longer in the vocabulary mind of people, we have already broadly technologies and as a graduate of computer related course “I’m aware of it”. . Uso pa ba ang sulat sa panahon ngayon? Sa akin oo, because nakatago parin ang mga ito. How about you? Uso pa ba sa’yo ang sulat? or mas naaappreciate mo ang technology na meron na tayo ngayon?

Me, the islands and the world said...

Sa akin, uso pa:) Actually, I mostly communicate with friends thru emails na but recently, i miss doing the snail mail. Somehow, it still has the personal touch, ika nga. So, for a friend's coming birthday, am sending a snail mail not the email:)

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
